Integrated Farm Assurance Standard Revision Process for Version 5. GlobalG.A.P.

The consultation period is open for 5 weeks and ends 8 May 2015.

Your contribution is very valuable to us. One of GLOBALG.A.P.’s main missions is the ’one auditor through the farm gate’ principle, and benchmarking is how we aim to achieve it. Harmonizing the requirements of different schemes and standards cuts out duplication and takes the complexity out of certification. It reduces costs, administration, time and effort, with producers, suppliers and retailers all profiting from the benefits.

Parallel to the revision process of the GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance Standards, we have also made some changes to the GLOBALG.A.P. Benchmarking Regulations, which include among others the following:

  • On-site assessment will no longer be obligatory for re-benchmarking, but schemes/checklists will be submitted to the Certification Integrity Program (CIPRO) in the first year of recognition
  • The benchmarking assessor requirements have been adapted to those for GLOBALG.A.P. inspectors and auditors as listed in Version 5 of the GLOBALG.A.P. General Regulations
  • The benchmarking option ‘Resembling Approved Modified Checklist’ will not be offered anymore
